Started in 1994, Carlson Wagonlit Travel specialises in travel management, primarily focusing on managing business travel for corporate clients worldwide. Its competency lies in the optimisation of corporate travel budgets by designing and implementing customised travel management programmes. With annual sales of $11.5 billion in 2003, Carlson Wagonlit had become the second-largest travel agency in the world after American Express.
